What's a Winfield S-R carb. worth? How desirable are they? The carb. looks complete and is not corroded. It been in dry storage for a long time and not soaking in water.
I do not have a use for it........get in to too much trouble already for running a water pump, Synthetic oil and distributor.
Thanks,
Les
$600 if you find the right guy, $100-300 is typical. It also depends if it is a matched carb or a put together. Sometimes carb size and whether it is an up or down draft plays a role on the value. Bottom line... what ever makes you and the purchaser happy! good luck!
Thanks Mike for your guidance. Sounds like $250.00 at a swap meet is about all I can expect. Possible could do better on e-bay?
Give it a chance on Ebay and set $250 as the opening bid and see what happens. There is an S-R on Ebay presently. Check it out.
Look at the completed sales, too, Les. That's probably the most desirable carb, depending on the size. Is it A, B, or bigger?
Thanks for the great guidance. Rick, is the carb marked A or B?
Yes, the size should be embossed on the two major assy. The A is about 1" throat, and the B 1 1/2". The one linked by Ed is a B.
The sizes are listed in this text from NWVS, but there are Winfield's that have different opening sizes than those that are listed belonging to the corresponding letters and numbers.
