I am working on a 27 with a vaporizer carb. My other projects have had the NH carb setup and I am having problems putting in a new choke shaft. Does the choke rod that comes from the cabin keep the butterfly open on the choke plate while at rest? Every combination that I try while on the bench, the choke wants to be closed under spring pressure on this vaporizer setup.
Here's a few older threads on the vaporizer choke setup:

Spring installed incorrectly.
Normal for choke plate to be fully open
That is what I thought that the choke plate should be normally open at rest. I compared the old shaft lever to the old one and all the holes line up like was suggested in the links that Roger posted. Back to the shop.
