Very cool, I think the machines on either side might be Hende specials ? 1914 only I think - electric start? guessing, see the large pully up front, also kind of looks like the tool box is larger. They had big problems - batteries, and had to modify many back to kickers. Again just guessing, what to ya think ?
Great picture. The starter/generator on the Hendee Specials was large and much more noticeable:
The engines in the photo looks more like the PowerPlus side valve design, introduced for 1916. Schebler carbs instead of Hedströms own design is another indication. The twist grips for ignition and throttle looks mechanically linked with rods and u-joints which would date the picture to 1916 - I think bowden cables were used from 1917 on.
