Gentleman,Is it ok to run an engine without the mag
coils and the mounting as long as the flywheel and
magnets are intact. will it still sling oil properly? I am using a distributer on this build.

Yes, no problem. You can pull the magnets too and put four carefully balanced pieces of angle iron on the flywheel instead - many speedster builders do that. (If you have a heavy T a too light flywheel may be less desireable when starting off in low, though)

Be sure to put bolts into the holes where the mag ring bolts to the block. If they are left out, oil will flow out.

Lorenzo, The magnet clamp plates are designed to clamp the magnets in pairs all around the flywheel.
Leaving half the magnets out would need some new design of the clamp plates to hold the remaining magnets secure in place?
