Seems a little silly to ask, but I'm wondering if something is wrong.

Ground up restoration. 16 touring.

I have the rear end up on jacks because I'm installing RM brakes today.

When I turn one of the wheels by hand as it would be moving forward, the other wheel turn as if it was in reverse. What's up with that? Shouldn't they both be going in the same direction?

Nope. That's the differential doing its job.Not a problem.

Sounds like the differential in the rear axle is working as it should, nothing to worry about.

Nope. The rotation as you describe it is correct.

Michael,

That's totally normal, and not just for a Model T, but for any car with a differential.

Michael:

For the record there are NO STUPID questions if you have some doubt in your mind. Ask before you proceed and you will always succeed.
