I know I've asked before, but I can't find it in the search. what colors were offered on 1926 wire wheel and does anyone have a paint code.
Check the Encyclopedia for a complete listing. I'd post the page here, but I can't get it to copy.
I've heard Black, Red or Straw colors were available on over the counter wire wheels in 1926 - 27. I think any wheel installed at the factory would have been black.
Royce is correct. Black was the factory color. The others (Orange, Apple Green, and Straw) were dealer options.
I didn't know the other colors were dealer options I thought they were factory.
Factory supplied the Ford wire wheels, painted, in black, Casino Red (like Dr. Pepper red), Straw (crème) and Emerald Green (apple green).
Dealers could replace the black wire wheels for color ones if the new owner would fork over some $.
