An Australian friend of mine acquired a Model C Ford from the States some time back and asked me to post a message on this website asking for any information relating to this particular car. Eg former owners, history etc. He thought possibly some one who visits this website might have some information he could use. Thanks for helping out.

Richard,
Hopefully someone will remember having seen the car in the past. A couple of suggestions for your friend to consider: I believe it would be helpful to let folks know the approximate date and where the car came from. I.e. if it was 1970 and California, I know that wasn’t a car I saw in 1980 or in Florida etc. Also if he has the name of the previous owner, sometimes that can be of help – especially if he was a member of the HCCA or ACCA etc.. And was it purchased from an individual, company (it reminds me of some of the Model T Haven cars that have been for sale – but those have been within the last few years), or auction?
I’m sure you have already suggested to your friend that he join the Early Ford Registry [for those who don’t have the link handy: http://www.earlyfordregistry.com/ ]. I looked there for a similar note, but I did not see one – but I did not look way down the threads either. That would also be a good location to post a note as well as the AACA and HCCA forums.
Additionally Carl Pate has a registry of the Two-Cylinder Fords he has been maintaining for several years. It is possible that he has the car listed there. He will probably need the serial number off the flywheel to check his listing. And if he has any other numbers -- those might be helpful also. And higher resolution photos might help (it surely would not hurt). I tried to zoom in and read the license plate but I could not. The four photos are groups and are around 78kb for all four of them. Posting 4 separate photos around 190kb each would provide better details for folks to remember etc. By the way – if you can read what the license tag says, please let us know.
And there are some older Horseless Carriage Club of America files etc that have a few listed by owner and serial number. There is a 1954 Register of Antique Automobiles that was a Joint Listing of the AACA and VMCCA covering USA cars. There is also a May 1992 listing of 1903/1904 Ford Owners Roster. For any of those, a previous owner or the serial number off the flywheel would be needed.
And I almost forgot the obvious. With the car number, the Early Ford Database that Trent prepared may contain the car. There is a 20-25 percent chance that it is in there. If you send me the car's number I can check. Also anyone with Carl's book "Pate's Early Ford AutomobielEncyclopedia" the CD in the back of the book or Bruce McCalley's "Model T Comprehensive Encyclopedia" on CD can look it up themselves. Those are available from: http://www.earlyfordcars.info/ and http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/331880/333725.html?1357665853 .
Good luck to your friend in his search.
Respectfully submitted,
