I am in need of 4 metal ferrules (one per wheel) for a set of 1913 wood felloe wheels (Prudden). The ferrule is the metal sleeve through which the tire tube stem fits.

I am having a set of 1913 wheels built by the Stutzman Wheel Shop in Baltic, Ohio. These wheels will be all new except for the hubs and hub plates.

Is there a source for these ferrules?

See the following thread for a cutaway image of a section of a wood felloe wheel with a ferrule and tube stem visible: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/331880/386521.html

Thanks,

Neil

I provided the wrong citation. The following is correct:

Russ Furstnow informed me that the Stutzman Wheel Shop will make and install new ferrules when they "build" the wheels. Thanks, Russ.
