Just copy your old ones, that's what I did. I also put a bead of weld where the point is on mine. I would think both are needed, good luck.

Its not REAL critical where you put it as long as its in a similar position. Needs to be the same position lengthwise, obviously, but don't let the angle of the split bother you. It just needs to be close to the split to make it collapse a little when you use the puller. Make sure you make a left and right. You don't want the split at the top of the housing.

What kind of Ching-Chang crap is that? You mean you have to drill your own hole in the repos? What about the dimple? Do you have to make your own dimple too? Without the dimple, it won't matter where you drill the hole because the sleeve will probably move. Or are you expected to drill and re-tap your housing so the grease cup extends into the sleeve?

What a cheap way to get away with making one sleeve for left and right.

? If you can drill a hole in that sleeve how good is the sleeve? Or what kind of bit do you have? I have some NOS sleeves that I have taken to swap meets and no one looks at them. I guess they would rather buy the repros???? Dan

Yep. You have to put a small bead of weld on them for the dimple.

Yep I did mine, also best I could tell - the repo was not as hard a material as my originals, drilled easy. My originals were shot though, so I put in the repops. Hopefully they will last as I am putting limited mileage on my TT, otherwise maybe replace em every so often.
