My wife was cleaning out an old trunk and came across her mothers photo album. Below are some pictures of her mother at age 19 with some of her siblings on what appears to be three different T's. She passed away 15 years ago so that's all the info I can get.
I love this kind of family history images. I do always wonder why it was so popular to sit on the poor hood of the T?
Erich:
It's the only warm part of the car.
The fact that MRS' Stooge would make son's Curley,Larry, and Moe ride on the running board caused brain dammage!! Bud.
Curly, Shemp and Moe would be "MRS' Stooge's" sons.
These pics remind me of my car the moment I turn my back at a car show.
Did you ever wonder if anyone currently driving a Model T is driving one of your relatives cars?
Dennis,
My 18' TT was my grandfathers (starting in 1946) then my uncles, and now mine. I bet there are a lot of T owners who have cars/trucks that have been in their family for generations. Of course, that's not the same thing as someone buying a T from a stranger then finding out it was previously owned by someone in his/her family. Interesting thought.
Great photos, Chester!!
