I would suggest those that are having issues with registering or uploading photos on the new MTFCI forum take the time to READ the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) that can be clicked on in the second blue bar at the top of the opening page.

Here's a link to the FAQ on the MTFCI forum if you aren't sure of what I am saying above.

Referring to the FAQ helps you teach yourself the Arthur Murray dance steps to navigate the site with lots less frustration and guess work.

I think the new MTFCI forum got a bum rap when people tried to register and use it when it was NOT ready for prime time.

I have posted extensively over the last week on the MTFCI forum and have had no issues to speak of even though I hardly know my way around the format outside of posting new material.

I use a tablet for most of my casual browsing nowadays. I couldn't see the FAQs 'not available in mobile mode' but did register, however have not received the promised confirmation email.

Also, I can't post on this Forum with the tablet, just keeps telling my the password is incorrect. Am I too cutting-edge?

Nope, use IPad all the time.

If I try to use my address that has .com.au, I cannot get past the 403 Prohibited screen. When using my other address that is .com I can access the site. guess it does not like overseas addresses.

I guess a lot of people must be having problems logging on.
The webmaster assisted me and I have been logged in since after they finally got their end working.
There is very little use of the MTFCI forum. I posted a little, but I got very little response and almost quit using the site.
(IT IS EASY TO USE ONCE YOU ARE LOGGED IN)

I thought I did it all but I am still a forbidden outsider. I gave up.

I was at a point of giving up but kept at it and have had no problems after Mark changed the version to a older more stable platform.

I haven't been back over there. I did register when they first made the change and then that quickly went downhill. I figured I'd try again when they got the bugs worked out. Heard a couple of good things about it and thought maybe they got the bugs worked out, but just when I thought I might try again, I see maybe they DON'T have all the bugs worked out. Oh well, it pretty much seemed like the same bunch over there anyway, including some of the same posts. I can't blame MTFCI for wanting their own forum, but if it's the same group of guys saying the same thing twice.......

FRom what I can tell, the bugs are worked out. Best to call Mark and start registering all over again. It worked for me.

Royce likes the MTFCI site better, so hopefully he will leave the MTFCA unless he has something positive to contribute, and leave Rob alone.

I registered on the MTFCI forum and received an email with my name and an verification number. I entered these into the login and it was rejected.
I have sent an email outlining the problem to the moderator, so far with no reply. More later

I didn't say I would never try again. I'm only saying that with all the troubles some seem to keep having, plus the fact that my needs are usually met here, why bother? At least for now.

Just created a new userid. Worked Fine.

If it up to me I would switch the top titles, My Profile and Settings. It took me a few minutes to find where I update my photo.
But as with any Computer Application, there may be items that need or could be enhanced.
