Here is a photo of my great uncle Frank's speedster. It was taken in Los Angeles. My cousin (his daughter) thinks it must be between 1926 and 1928.
I remember Uncle Frank telling me he once went to pick up a date in his speedster. When the young lady saw his ride, she went back in the house!
Can any one identify the body type?
Tom
sporty car, and frank was a snappy dresser, that girl clearly made a bad choice
I'll say!! That girl missed out on bunches of fun with Uncle Frank! I guess she was holding out for a Packard or Buick driver.
Clayton,
Uncle Frank was quite a character. He was an antiques dealer for many years. At one point he owned the supposed head of Joaquin Murietta in a glass jar. He carried a photo around in his wallet!
Nice family photo, That's a great looking speedster!
I took the liberty to enlarge it a bit.
Mike I agree! Frank always was a snappy dresser. She probably met him before she knew what he was driving and based on his clothes figured he was driving a "high" priced car. He married my grandmother's sister in 1932 but I think the T was gone by then.
I would love to have that original speedster, but I am happy with the one my grandfather built back in 1972.
It looks very much like a Morton and Brett body.
Thanks, Dan. That would make it some pretty high class stuff.
BTW, I need to contact you regarding your Rajo header flange and Winfield side draft converter. Does your Rajo header flange fit a Rajo BB and BBR?
