I have long assumed that the tire tools that say "Goodyear" are those that were in the brass era tool kits. But, I have others, such as, "Fisk Tires" and "The Diamond Rubber Co." Does anyone know if these are all Model T Ford tools or not. It may be dependent on the brand of tires that were used in those years.
Those tools were sold or given away to tire buyers. In the pre - balloon tire days flats were very common and tire life was very short.
This type of tire tool was universal across all brands of automobile. Everyone needed a couple of them in the car at all times.
My '10 came from Ford with Diamond tires. There were two Diamond tire irons under the back seat but I don't know if the car came with them or generic tire irons supplied by Ford.
The Diamond tire irons are generally the accepted tire irons that Ford furnished. However, the Firestone and Fisk tire irons are identical. Some have the bead in the middle, and some don't.
