Guy in the middle looks like a "Doughboy" home on leave.
It looks like there is a flag with a star on the radiator. That could confirm that there was a family member in active service.

As I remember the flag with the star during
WWII was to indicate the loss of a family
member in the war and were found in the
windows of homes not on cars.

My wife's family had several brothers (her Uncles) that served in WWII and she still has her Grandmother's window flag with two stars and this flag displayed how many were serving.
