Eric,

Great photo showing the paint scheme on a 1907-1908 Ford Model S Runabout. You can tell it is a Model S and not one of the other models by the pointed rear deck -- the R Runabout with the curved rear deck goes straight back further before it makes the rounded curve. Note the cream wheels, front axles, rear radius rods, front radius rods. But note that the frame, rear axle drive shaft, and running board brackets/supports are dark colored.

In the photo below you see another 1907-1908 Model S Runabout but in this one the cream paint has also been applied to the frame and rear axle drive shaft [also probably the rear axle housings -- but I haven't zoomed in to confirm that] as well as the other cream color items mentioned above (wheels, front axle, front and rear radius rods). (Photo from Mr. J.F. Grace and posted on the Early Ford Registry site at: http://www.earlyfordregistry.com/jfgrace/jfgrace.html )

We are still trying to better document how Ford painted the N,R,S, and SR cars in the USA and Canada. Any photos similar to those are very helpful. Again thank you for finding and posting that one!

Respectfully submitted,
