Buddy of mine rolled by yesterday and showed me a "BARE NAKED" Roof A model overhead - any one here have any information regarding available parts - valves, springs, rockers, etc.?

Did you tell him to put some clothes back on? That may be a difficult one to find parts for. I would post a wanted ad and see what turns up, maybe somebody did all the hard work sourcing parts already.

Steve

The type A you can uses standard Model T valve but will have to turn the ID of the valve head down to 1" if I recall. The standard Ford spring will work also if your not to aggressive on the cam grind and not looking to turn a lot of RPM or they will float.

The type A head had at least three different types of rocker arms that where beef up because of problems breaking. This was a head I rebuilt for John Williams and I think it was the last version of rockers. Roof used two push rods per lifter as his holes don't line up with the valve guides in the block. We just ream them out and run one push rod per valve. Contact me I have a lot more info if you need it,

link to thread on the forum now http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/331880/394650.html?1381865377 has a couple of the drawing of the head

Les Schubert may have repoped some, contact him, he is on the forum and may chime in here.

Thanks Mike ! I told the fellow I'd do some research for him and might contact you regarding this. It could be available to him and he's more of an old school hot rodder but he's getting a hankerin to build a T speedster.

I did make some exhaust rockers of what believe are second version. I will still have the patterns as I had them cast in ductile iron. I am not up to looking for them right now. Probably can in a week. I also can offer valve covers and part 2&3 of the original exhaust manifold. I did not bother to cast part 1 as some number of those have survived.
I don't plan to pattern the intake manifold
