I saw this demonstrated on TV and I thought I'd pass it along. I was thinking for the older harder tires that seem tough to break the bead loose. Take a look. www.beadbuster.com They use a cordless driver but I think a lug wrench might work in a pinch. Just a thought.

This will work on new tyres, not clinchers as it would not be able to use the rim for a purchase.

There are a lot of old 30's and 40's wheel with tires still on them going to waste because the tire bead won't break
Peter, I had not thought of the clinchers as I am used to wires. I had to saw off the tires on my olds and I think it would have worked on them.
