Okay, now that I got the Ricardo head, i've started cleaning it up and I'm seeing orange paint. I did a search here, and have found several different colors. Does anyone know what the original color is?
usually depends on which tractor company used the Ford motor on their combine, etc. I have seen them in orange, red, and black.
Hey Brian. The orange ones are the rejects. You better pack that one up and send it to me.
They originally were sold for cars or anything with a T engine to increase the power.
From the Tulsa MTFCA site :

Those results are either simulated or estimated - wonder how they really work?
That graph is a model of clarity
There are Ricardo heads for many different applications. I know they made them for the Lycoming 8 in line motors used by several manufacturers like Auburn, and Gardner.
Dave, I found the reason for it being a reject!
This particular style will only fit on my car! I'm just having a hard time putting an orange head on a T. I'm guessing if it were sold for a car application it would have been black.
I have had two and both were red when I got them, Seemed to have original paint.
