We just completed our annual Fall tour, this time we traveled from Etowah, TN we had 22 cars but two had problems and did not go. Colder than %^*##@*,some freezing fog up at Hoopers Bald around 5500 ft. A lot of one lane roads some gravel and a lot of dust..
We had people from Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and West Virginia.
A good time was had by all.

Doesn't look very cold. No snow. Nice pic's though.
Nice Pix. Thanks for sharing.
Dave, after reading about how cold it was, the first thing I noticed was the guy in the first picture wearing shorts and a T-shirt. I suspect that the definition of "cold" varies around the country...

My son wears shorts all year long. He doesn't seem to mind the cold. Last winter he and another kid seemed to be having a contest over who was going to cave first and put on long pants. He also wears T-shirts all year, and when it gets cold he will put on a sweat shirt.
I prefer flannel shirts and a nice heavy winter coat.
I will take a long cold winter way before I ever want to deal with a long hot summer like you have.
The first picture brought a warm smile to my face. The gentleman getting into his '27 Coupe is obviously bent over from the effects of age, yet he's still driving his T. I hope I live long enough for someone to catch a pic of me like that.
BTW, that waterfall is wonderful! It's like a miniature version of Niagara Falls.
The gentleman getting into the coupe is Bill Guinney from North Carolina. The coupe is Max Larsen's, they were both on the Kanab, UT tour back in July. Always good to see them guys out on a tour.
I now know what cold is. We were on this tour and brought the roadster thinking it would not be too bad. Yesterday we started out at 30 degrees and got done at a whopping 53. But we had a great time and got to see snow in TN in October.
My hat is off to Skip for driving his speedster in the snow like weather. And with no socks to boot!
If we tour again there this late in the year, it will be in the coupe.
