Recently there was a discussion about using rods with shells on the Scat crank.
I had time today to do some research and found the part number for shells that can be used on the mains. They are a Clevite CB-666B. Housing bore is 1.7505/1.7510. The standard shaft size they are designed for is 1.6225/1.625. They should be available if std., .010, .020, .030 undersize. They are 1" wide. They are for the Onan CCK series 2 cylinder engine, so they are likely reasonably available (I think this engine is still made new). I got this from a 1996 Clevite catalogue.
I set up to try these once but didn't finish it as I was still going to have babbitted rods. With these shell rods available I may revisit the idea.. Maybe with the reverse turning camshaft!
