Has anybody used the new oversized pedal shafts? Any problems with them? How did you open up the hole in the pedal and notch to accept the bigger shaft?
Thanks,
Stephen
Yup!
I have them on the reverse pedal and the brake pedal. I used an expanding reamer to open the holes up. The reamers work very well in cast iron.

Stephen, if you have to ream the cast iron notch and the forged pedal, would it not be just as simple to ream the cast iron cover and fit a thin walled bronze bush for standard shafts? I do this on the ally covers on early cars which have flogged out pedal shaft holes and it works well.
Hope this helps.

I should have specified clutch pedal shaft.

I don't think that .005 oversize will be sufficient to take up the wear in most transmission covers that need repair. I make my own oversize shafts from drill rod.
Jack, my cover is not that badly worn and the 5 thousands oversize shaft will work fine. I just want to make sure I will not have any issues.
