Hi: I have four pieces/parts of some accy. items. I do not know what particular brand they are for. The front spring clamp with the ball/socket on it has part# 305 with a diamond logo cast into it. The other three items have no names or #s on them. Just curious what they fit. I think I know what they are made to do, but .??? Maybe someone needs these to complete there setup... Thanks ...
Donnie, the second item is a rear spring perch for something like a KW shock absorber type shackle assembly.
The last looks vaguely familiar with some horse drawn vehicle ironwork, but I cannot place it accurately.
Hope this helps, or starts a discussion.
Allan from down under.
The round thing looks like a bushing facer. I'm thinking maybe for the thrust face on the tourque tube that the U-Joint rides against. 'Course, I'm just speculating.
None of the parts look familiar, and I have seen a ton of accessories for the Model T. The one with the ball cap really intrigue's me.
I was thinking the round part could be for some type of accessory starter? This would then sit on the front of the crank instead of the usual pulley.
1 st picture,upper left,looks like a rear mount for a Hassler shock/
Hi: The item with the ball/socket I believe may be some kind of steerable headlight, or maybe it attached something spring loaded to the tie rod for a stabilizer, ?? The item with the ratchet may be for a hand/inside car starter. That part will fit the front of crankshaft. I agree with Hal on the rear spring perch, but it does not match any of the setups I have. I think the H shaped item is part of a shock setup. It has "ears" similar to a "Hassler" setup for the bolts. I have over 1000 different accy items for the Ts and these are my mystery items .....
Hi: I meant to say I agreed with Allen on the rear shock piece.
Hey Donnie, 1000 different - then it's time to start "Accessory of the day" posts like Jay.
Please?
Could the item for the lower part of the front spring clamp be for anchoring the tie rod to use a front axle for a trailer?
Hi Roger: Im in the process of doing that. Im kida new to the forum, and still learning the best way to do it. I may be able to do one or two a week. Or at least one every now and then. I want to do things Jay has not already posted. I tried searching for his older posts but I have not figured it out yet. "keyword" search always get me 0 items .?? I have about 1/2 NOS and 1/2 used items. I also am not exagerating. Ive been collecting over 30 years. Keith.. Thats another option but not sure how the rest of it would look or work...
One or two per week would be great
The keyword search function is hard to figure out, it gets overloaded with results and return no answers if it isn't fed just right.. the most important factor is to reduce the search to only one year or a certain number of days.
For most forum searching I use Google - just write accessory of the day, something specific and site:www.mtfca.com at google.com and you'll find if Jay posted it or not
The image search function at google helps a lot too.
