I have lots of old license plates lying around with no mates. I'll bet some of them have twin brothers somewhere. What if someone was to create a database of all these singles that people could access to see if a mate exists? I know, lots of time would be spent, but does it sound worthwhile?

A simple spreadsheet would do just fine. 50 pages to represent each state. Not hard to do at all.
Maybe the folks in this thread could use some of your extra orphan plates?
