The original "chick magnet".
Somewhere there's a train running on a dirt road......
Interesting that it was seldom called a Model K.
The caption should read...
"Holly and the Girls Steal Rob's K car for a Joy Ride!"
Denny, if they see this, you and I are in big trouble...
Thomas, when I began searching for Model K articles, there didn't seem to be much out there (not surprising considering what I thought I knew of the "K").
Then, when I began searching things such as "Ford six cylinder" the "hits" went up tremendously. An example is shown below, I searched the Library of Congress and had 20 hits for "Ford Model K" (1906-1908):
Then, with "Ford six cylinder", 70 hits:
Then add in all the other variations such as "six cylinder Ford, Ford 6-40, etc, and all of sudden there are hundreds and hundreds of articles about the car from that period.
I'll do a search of a peer later such as "Thomas Flyer" and see how the numbers compare.
Rob
Rob,
If the girls see this I'll just throw you under the bus by telling them you told me to post that!
