My brother sent me this pic from Casa del Desierto Hotel Railroad Museum in Barstow, CA. Is this some kind of parade vehicle? Or special narrow gauge for rushing to fires along the hotel corridors?

It might have been made for use in a factory or even a Ford plant? Bud.

It doesn't look as though the front wheels can turn enough to steer inside any sort of hallways. Barstow? I would guess for narrow fire trails?
Neat, and unusual vehicle. It appears too substantially built to be a simple display or parade vehicle.
I don't know. Just me speculating.
Thank you for sharing the photo!
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

Back in the old days the Chevy Gray Iron Foundry had a special built small fire truck next door to the Chevy parts plant. That plant started as where the Raioner was built and later the Marquette before Chevy.The Olds main plant in Landsing where i finnish up aslo had a small custom built fire engine for inside. It seems like everywhere i worked is closed and gone! Bud.

Kenneth;
Don't feel bad, the only place that is still around that I worked at is Chrysler in Kokomo, Indiana.
In my 55 yrs of working, I must have worked at 20 or 25 places.
