Anyone know if this engine is available yet?
Here's a link to a past thread here on the subject.

Not yet.
Jay,
It looks like it is available at :
www.rcslot.com and at www.plastic-model-kits.com
Search for Ford Model T Engine Kit 11083>
Ron Bolser
RC Slot shows out of stock but Plastic Model Kits web site shows it in stock.
Just ordered one before you guys buy them all.
Received order confirmation right after order placed so they are in stock.
Ronald, Thanks! I just ordered one too!
Jay and I must have bought the only two they had in stock. They are now out of them.
I just went to order mine, OUT OF STOCK .......
They are taking pre-orders on them.
I'm confuzzed. Is it in stock or not?
Gary,
They were in stock when Jay and I ordered.
They now out and show pre-order on the page and will ship when they get more.
Ronald, I didn't get an email confirmation back. but the pay pal end went through. I guess I'll have to call in the morning and see if in fact I am getting one.
Jay,
If you were able to add it to your shopping cart it was still in stock. The web site now says pre-order instead of add to cart.
I just hope you two guys don't mess them up and paint them /b{that} shade of green.
Ronald, COOL BEANS!!
AAAAGGGG!!!! Missed it again. I looked and could not find it or a place to preorder it on either sight.
I had no problem finding and purchasing one just a few minutes ago.
I ordered one even though it showed none in stock. They took my money anyway.
I just pre ordered a couple on rcslot.com
Bob
Ok, let the contest begin, we'll be expecting photos of folk's built models to see who can add the most extra detail and do the best work!
Who's goin to be first to make a RHD conversion? Or open valve? Not me; 'er indoors' won't let me have one till I finish all the full-size stuff I have.
That's a black era engine. It should be black. Moleskin (not green, and especially not that green) was used on improved car engines.

They appear to have this one in stock.
Seems to be the same part number but with a different appearance.
Ok never mind. Says "In Stock" above but then "Temporarily out of stock" below.
Sure would be nice if these were available for Christmas!
Does it come with the optional alternator, distributor and water pump? Sorry, I couldn't resist asking.
Why is the clutch pedal attached to the high speed clutch shaft instead of being up where the bands are?
They also have this nifty 1915 roadster at rcslot for under $9.00.

David, that pedal is in the wrong spot. Not built by a T person I bet.
So at 1/6 scale, how long is this thing?
Not as long as the 1/6 scale Model T Ford kit that I hope someone offers someday to put this engine in!
What's up? The hawk model on the 2 sites shown doesn't look like the picture shown up top of the posting.
The top posting and box cover show the finished model after you paint it.
Just ordered my T engine model. I am now looking for a Rojo head for it.
This is the link to the Hawk site that shows both a kit and fully assembled versions.
Remove the quotes and copy and paste to your browser if the link doesn't work.
If you note, the kit says "parts are prepainted" Most sellers I'm seeing are saying it will be released in December 2013, so I'm not sure if anyone actually has it physically on hand, or are just taking preorders at this point. "In Stock" seems to mean different things to different internet sellers!!!
I took a chance and ordered one from www.plastic-model-kits.com last night. They sent me an order conformation but I'm not holding my breath, as this has been going on for years with Hawk models. We'll see what happens.......
That would be "confirmation ". I need more coffee!
I just got an E-mail from Oakridge Hobbies & Toys that the Model T Engine Model is not available from the manufacturer. I requested a refund. Par for the course for me.
Mark,
Got a message from them too. My email said it would be available next month.
Their web page now lists the T Engine as their most popular model kit.
I am taking the chance and waiting.
This was my message today....
According to our distributor/suppliers, this model is projected to be available in December.
I spoke to a gentleman at Hawk models this morning and he told me that there are no plans to produce this engine kit in the foreseeable future, so I'm canceling my order with Plastic-model-kits.com. (Oakridge Hobbies & Toys). Doesn't look like it's going to happen.
So, I received my requested refund yesterday from my order - did anyone actually get a confirmation of having one shipped to them or did we all get the same message from Oakridge ?
Steve, I doubt anyone got one. Judging by Bill Z's findings everyone who ordered one should ask for a refund. I got my refund a few days ago. I hope we all live long enough for HAWK to finally make this model available.
I got my refund yesterday. Too bad I really wanted the T Engine model. They lost lots of sales.
That's really a Bummer !!!!
We should start lobbying them to produce the model, plus a 1/6 scale Model T to put it in!
How can we get a count of how many of us want one or more, if the number is great enough It might get them up and going.
Bob
The water pumps are are out of stock
temporarily.
kenny ???????
If like a count of how many actually got one of the models now. This thread is confusing.
