I think it was Jack Daron that posted photos of home built "U" equalizer that was made out of round rod. I have some questions on the material used as I would like to make a couple of them.

Did you bend hot or cold? Are the corners bent as shown for strength? Would I be correct in guessing the tang for the pedal clevis was cut?

I heated the bends and cut the tang on bandsaw. I used 26-27 brake arms for the rod attachments. I have one of these on my 24 truck and it works well.Small drum AC brakes and it will slide both wheels.

No,it is in the barn and wrong time of year to be crawling under a car. It goes on the emergency brake shaft,but works independently . You retain all brakes.
