Here is the email I just got:
Hi,
My sincere apologies for writing you this kind of message, but I don’t
have any other choice presently because you are my hope. My best
friend is in London right now, she went there to secure a contract
job. Her hotel room was robbed few minutes ago and she lost her wallet
which includes atm card and some cash. Right now, there is no money
with her to return back to state. I have sent her $430 but she needs
$550 more. Can you please loan me $350? If yes, please send the money
directly to her information below:
Name: Janet Cole
Address: 312 Woolf Close, Thamesmead, London, se28 8df, United Kingdom
Please, send the money through Western union or moneygram location as
soon as possible today or you can make the payment online using your
credit or debit card by visiting: www.westernunion.com or
www.moneygram.com
I will appreciate your urgent response with the payment details once
you send the money to her so that I can forward the payment details to
her for pickup. I will return your money by Friday I promise you.
Send the payment now and forward me the payment details by email.
Thanks,
Jack.
Gosh, that's an old scam. I'm surprised any one would still try that.
You should answer and say you'll send it to your (Jack's) address since you live across the street.
I just found it out,and have changed things to stop it.Thanks and sorry.
Yep,Me got it to.It wound up in the junk email folder.
I aint sure why as Jack is in my address book.Must be something about it that made the outlook express chunk it the bin.
Hum,I wonder how Janet got there without me? :>0
Has she gained any weight?
