Look closer as you can see the cars front axle just behind the chain-drive axle. They must have been using it to either hold the car up or to move it. The car is a bit of a mongrel that we are trying to identify. We have two enlargements that help to see it on our site.
Interesting old photo of a garage barely 60 miles east of where I live! Thanks David! I wonder now if the building it was in even exists? And who'd have known the "smoking ban in buildings" had already begun!!
