I have a Non-periel horn on my 1911 Model T. The horn is if perfect shape, except the solder joint has come loose where the horn is riveted to the bracket, and it is floppy loose. I had a local instrument repair guy work the horn over last year, and he re-soldeded it, but it did not hold. I believe it needs to be taken apart at the joint, re-riveted, and then re-assembled.
Who can do this work for me at a reasonable cost?
Here is my droopy horn:

Dear Keith, I had this happen to the Rubes on our 1911 about 9 months ago. You are correct; the horn needs to be dismantled and the bracket re-riveted and soldered properly. The horn can then be reassembled.
We have a guy here in Adelaide that is superb. He restores all manner of brass lights and fittings. If nothing else comes up I will vouch for the guy in Adelaide.
