does the spark lever rod go over or under the steering column on a 1912 touring? Over doesn't seem right and under doesn't work because the spark lever arm hits the pitman arm when it is slightly advanced. I have a straight and bent throttle arm. The bent arm came with the car. Thank you in advance. Bob

Over. It goes under the water inlet tube.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH, That's right. I forgot about the water inlet tube. It is off right now. I will bend the heck out of it to make it work now that I see how it goes.

Robert, if the radiator is off at the moment while you're messing around with the spark lever, then make sure and do your timing BEFORE you put the radiator back on...it makes it a heck of a lot simpler!! You usually end up bending the rod a couple of times to get the timer set properly.

I picked mine up at a speed shop, just tell them the Dia. you need. I think a parts store can get them also.

Scott-
I have a correct commutator swivel I can send to you. You'll need to thread the end of the rod.

I still like to say, "swivel"
