Appears to be a Wn plate on the car - we've had auto ferrys here in the Puget Sound area since way back - still do. Great way to go for a "boat ride" !
The Date on the plate seams to be 1915 or 16.
Maybe the ferry is part of the "Black Ball Ferry Lines", anyone have a copy of the song "Black Ball Ferry Line" by Bing Crosby ?
Bob
That might be a Canadian car, with 30X3 1/2s.
Washington didn't have steel plates until during the 1916 calendar year.
It's interesting that the earlier car has electric headlights and cowl lights.
This could be a promotional Picture, The Black
Ball Ferry line was first established in 1916.
Great picture Jay thank you.

It appears to be an "electrified" 1912 as the main sill is showing, outside rear door handle and the w.s. support rods. Nice car & great photo !
