Recognize any familiar parts in this little project I made today?

Brilliant work, Erich. Such a clever idea and 'no new parts were damaged or destroyed' in the making.

Where from do you get your innovative ideas?

Dane.

I like to make things and I tend to save old parts. A good friend has a collection of nativity sets from all over the world that we have contributed to from our travels. Last year I carved one for her in the style of a traditional African Type we had seen before. I had been wondering about making one out of car parts for some time then came up with the idea of spark plugs being the people. It took off from there.

Some of you more imaginative posters care to suggest what the 3 gifts might be?

I have a good reference on the subject that says they are gold, frankincense, and myrrh.:-)

One appears to be a valve spring retaining washer. Not sure about the other two.

As you may not know, Bosch stands in this case for "Born on special Christian holiday". Hal, I have that same reference book. I am sure a little frankincense on the valves would make them run very smooth.

Bob, that is to funny, oil, gas, water. The 3 wise cans, of course.

G.R. Yes, that happened so fast. I did a dumb thing. I was holding one of the small crowns (made from 38 spcl and 45 L.C. cases) with my fingers while drilling a hole via drill press. The drill caught hard, the crown spun, doing a food processor treatment on my hand. Still worth it.

Well, I have had several requests to make more of these. Only problem is I am running out of old fat plugs and used up timing gears, valves, keepers, etc. If anyone feels the need to purge and wants to share the Christmas spirit, send me a P.M. if you wish to make a donation of such bits as these. Thanks again and happy motoring.
