My 1916 Touring was running poorly at best on Mag. A friend (Dr Richie) suggested I pull the mag plug and look for anything that may be preventing good contact. The picture did not come out clear at all, but the item on the left is a dime, on the right is the "stuff". Does this qualify? Thanks Richie!
Ok, so I need a string on my right index finger so I can figure out my right from left. :-)
Patrick,
That "stuff" may be an indication that there was not a good connection but the real test will be how the car runs. Does it run better? Did/does it run okay on battery?
Another reasonable trouble shooting step would be to measure the voltage out but from the mag. There is some good directions on how to do that on this forum.

Thanks Jim. I am a new T owner and am grateful for any and all suggestions/advice. The car runs well on battery but when switched to mag is gasping for air. I will not be able to run her for awhile as I am waiting for more parts. I will update soon.
