With cold weather here again there will be more wood stoves in use and more wood stove fires.
There used to be a company in Vermont that made a device that worked like a modern smoke alarm, but heat turned on the alarm, not smoke.
It was actuated by a heat sensing device to provide an early warning of a chimney fire.
A friend that still heats his home with wood asked me to repair one for him a few years ago and it has now quit working again.
Does anyone know if a replacement device exists for the same purpose?
I kind of think that would be Vermont Castings, the
maker of Dutchwest line of wood stoves.
