The "new" rear spring I found for my roadster had an extra leaf in it, so today I made new clips to fit it with the extra spring removed. On the right is a clip that was on the spring. Looks home made to me.

Those look great. I am not sure but you might need to add the retaining tab in the center to keep them in there rightful spot.

Steve -- If you have a big press, you might be able to press a "dimple" into them. That should serve the same purpose as the tab, even if it's not 100% correct.

No dimple needed here. This is for tapered springs. The bolt goes through a curled leaf end.

Ford used a thin 1/4-20 HEX nut for those bolts, 1/2" across the flats. They used that nut in a number of places on T's right up to the end.
