Can someone tell me what kind of rocker arms from a newer rig will work on a Fronty head?
The head looks like Ralph Ricks' yellow PU.

Bob,

How much of the valve train do you have / need?

If you have the stands and shafts, you may be able to take the dimensions (size of the shaft, distance between the push rods and valve stem and the rocker ratio) and contact http://www.rockerarms.com/

They may be able to tell you what would fit. For that matter, I'm sure they would be willing to make a set of rockers, shafts and stands for you if you needed the whole deal. Of course they might want your first born child but . . .

Walt

Hi Walt,
Heck..I'd give 'em a couple of kids if that's all it would take!
All this thing has in it is three exhaust valves.
Everything else is MIA.
I'm kinda working with a clean slate.
If I come up with rockers with the right distances between the valve/shaft/pushrod I can make stands and probably find a shaft that'll work.
That's what I'm hallucinating about anyway.
Thanks
Bob

Bob,

I'm in a similar spot with a Rajo 4 valve head - none of the original valve stands, shafts or rockers. To compound the joy, originally these had a significant sideways offset so standard rockers on a straight shaft won't work. I'm looking at a couple of options. I have a new set of rockers that are the right ratio and dimensions stem to shaft to push rod but these would require 4 individual rocker stands and shafts mounted at a weird angle. I also have picked up a 2 sets of old rockers (one early Chevy, the other from a tractor) that I may be able to heat and bend to a shape that would work on a single shaft. I'd have to make the stands and shaft but that should be relatively simple. Stan Bender did a setup with I believe Chevy rockers that seems to work well.

Rocker Arm Specialists in Anderson, Ca. Makes them up for both. A set of rocker arms, towers and shafts was $225.00 some time back and that is cheap 530 378 1075 ask for Gary

The Fronty rockers are 3:2 ratio.

Bob,

I know Mikeys speedster and I was thinking of the other one with a 4 valve that Bill Bender is working on. Mike has the stock rockers, Bill has a made up set.
