I just bought a 1999 Ford for my wife's sister who is a Florida resident.I got the car from the state auction here in NJ an have licensed it in my name in New Jersey. I'm taking it to Florida after Christmas to give to her and she will be putting Florida tags on it. Since its an out of state car with a NJ title is there a vehicle inspection in Florida?

No inspection, but, a DMV person will go to it and check the VIN.

Thanks everyone. My wife's sister just lost her husband due to an illness and she is going through a rough time right now. This car is a step in the right direction for her.

Samuel, My philosophy on politics is simple, If the currant politics in your area make your life miserable then move to a state that there currant politics fit your life style.

Mike has an interesting point, if they check the vin, then what is the case in a engine swap that may have happened 75 years ago? Are you sol?

Rion, This is a 1999 Ford Taurus. Not to worried about the engine. :-) Now if it was a T The paperwork would need to match the engine stamping, If there was a mismatch then just grind and re stamp the numbers to match the paperwork.

Will C,
GOOD FOR YOU! (Helping out family having a rough time) That is what family should always be about. (Even though I do complain about it occasionally)
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
