It predates the T by a few years, but it's been 110 years ago today since the Wright Brothers made their famous and historic flight at Kitty Hawk. I consider it a major milestone marking progress to the world we live in today.
My dad was eight months old. He saw the first plane that flew over Sedan, Kansas, and he remembered the town's first car. Not so very long ago.
Steve, it is a mind boggling short time! Plane to liquid fuel rockets WITH GUIDENCE: 11 years
from there to space just around 50! (would of gotten there sooner, but for 2 small misunderstandings in Europe and a downtick in the stock market)
Cheers,'

On the other hand, conflict brings advancements in technology and we could be years behind where we are now. Not saying misunderstandings are good.
Still, 110 years is not very long ago.
