Looks like they're standing on the cowl, not the hood. Of course they may have climbed on the hood to get there. They're kinda' chunky for Model T-era folks.
Probably why a lot of the T's have warped fenders and mashed in (gently)? hoods.
Must have put something under the hood to reinforce it.

I agree with Mike. They are standing on the cowl or at least the part of the hood supported by the firewall. Can any one tell whether it is a Touring or a Roadster? Kind of tough from that angle.

Given the light on both rear fenders and the other shadows, I would guess a roadster.
Maybe they're hollow?
My guess is that it's a 1920 Runabout. I can't make out a date on the plate, but with clear headlight lenses and no cowl lamps, it must be a '20.
cowl light brackets are there, just no lights. they are off for restoration
