That kit is a reproduction of something that Ford never made.

The machine sewn embroidery of the FORD logo is a dead giveaway that it is a "recent" item.

The real Ford tool bags I've seen are barely as long as the spark plug wrench, maybe about 6" wide, and made of "top material" with one or two steel snaps to close it.

I think Bob's in Rockford sometimes used to have some decent used ones on hand that he sold for a pretty reasonable price.

G.R it looks like the kit only has three correct Model T tools in it. The bag is just a random bag with a patch but it does look cool. Not sure what the complete story on the bag is but it's not original.

G.R. no problem! I am learning all this too. I just went through the tool maze a few weeks ago and learned allot about all the little differences. Allot of information can be found in the encyclopedia offered on the MTFCA home page. There, just like any part for the Model T, you can find all the subtle changes that were made to each thing over the years.

I bought one of those when they first started listing them on ebay a few years ago. Seems like they were about $30 then. It's difficult to believe they think someone would pay $75 for one, but who knows?

I got mine to carry tools, because these carry a lot more tools than a standard Ford tool roll. I can carry all the original tools, plus a lot of modern ones, in a small package. It's great to have along on tours and doesn't take up much space in the running board tool box.

Of course I know it's not an original Ford roll, but it does its job well and looks pretty cool doing it.

I'd be inclined to make my own out of some old jeans or overalls.

I have always tended to wear holes in the knees of my jeans. I cut them off through the hole, sew up one end. Instant tool bag.
G R C, No problem! Keep reading. Keep posting. Otherwise, how will others learn.
Drive carefully, and enjoy the New Year! W2
