He did his home work anyway. Seems to be all pretty much true. I'm surprised he didn't mention shortening shifts from 10 to 8 hours which I believe happened at the same time. Not to give workers a break (as the "spun" news stories reported) but to run the factory 24 hours a day.

The Ford Company got their pick of the best workers available when the pay rate was raised to $5 a day. These workers then tended to stay. The Ford social workers advised the worker's wives on "good house keeping". Ford sponsored homes were made available. Ford Company built a hospital. One can view these practices as either "good" or "bad". but it can be said, that they did work out for Ford.

I bet the progressives are going nuts reading the part about Ford requiring living " a moral lifestyle" was expected if you worked for Ford. Of course no one walks on water but these days even a hint of trying to live a moral life style is 'out of style'. Just ask the folks at Duck Dynasty.
