I didn't want to drift off the Edsel Six cylinder thread. However, I have these news accounts (rumors) and thought this a good place and time for them. I don't know if Ford experimented with a six cylinder engine as the end of the Model T run approached, but it wouldn't surprise me (why not?).

And this January 30, 1927 article. The Model K is mentioned and pictured. While Henry Ford doesn't go out of his way to say he didn't like the six, he doesn't endorse it either. I have long suspected that any "distaste for the "six" was developed over years and years of building the four cylinder Model T as competitors moved to offer a six cylinder car. I believe I read that only four major builders didn't offer a six by the late 20 s, Ford, Overland and two others (memory, a dangerous thing when not used).
