Picked up a nice Ruckstell kit at the Lethbridge swap meet yesterday. Looks like somebody was working on it intending to use it in a home made tractor or something as the axles had been shortened. The unit itself looks very good, the shift lock will need either a new housing for $85 or would be usable the way it is -- a lot of them have a chunk missing in the same place.
Planetary gears look good, I did not take it all apart but should be a good driver Ruckstell after you clean it up. Considering that a new one is around $2600 for a big drum, this one is pretty cheap even if you had to put a few parts in it.
Complete with the big drum housing: $1050, just the unit with no housing, including the shift lock: $750. Big drum housing by itself: $400
Guess I missed the picture of the shift lock. Bronze plate has been cleaned up in a lathe. Bearing boss is tight. It will need a bearing.
Clutch gear has the usual wear from the shift fork running on it but the teeth are good. You can have the ring gear if you want it.
