Never seen one of these before. Swayback with stamped arms but with the early bowl vent. Complete, very nice shape, no dents, has good brass float.

Could well be. I know coils, not carbs, although my waistline says otherwise.

Still great running carb, uses same parts as n/h, Bob

I don't think it's a Simmons, after looking at the Simmons pictures posted here. The bowl vent is mounted at an angle, just like the early NH, not horizontally like the Simmons.

Look down the choke end. Simmons used 2 flappers. I think it is an NH I am pretty sure I have one like it with a tag on it.

Thanks, Tom. It doesn't have the 2 flappers. I'm also pretty sure it's a "transitional" style NH. There is no place anywhere to mount a tag.

An earlier thread.

R.V., the transition may not be all that smooth.

The earlier straight bore NH's had the threaded in breather. Later straight bore examples had the usual plate over the vent hole. That would make your swayback a step backwards in evolution, to a previous specification.

Just another anomaly.

Allan from down under.

Was there a Wizard, (AKA Western Auto) carb that looked like that?

This is clearly not a Simmons or Western Auto carb. They were all straight through designs.

Allan, that's exactly what I'm thinking.
