Posting for a friend,he bought this coupe from a widow, according to her, engine and trans gone through, has run,has distributor but has timer wired to coil box, most body work done, bottom of drivers door still needs work, some upholstery done, new radiator and shell, new and old hoods, two sets splash aprons, cart full of part including two different visors, extra headlight rims, distributors.Odd thing is her late husband had many things chrome plated including whole dash, crank, inside mldgs, coil box lid, steering wheel spider, cutout cap,oil filler etc.Extra parts include bumpers, hdlt rims and radius rods.Everything has collected some dust. $4900,Call Van Larson 303-941-6406
This thing has wire wheels but not the spare carrier,it has a Y rim carrier and it is chrome plated.
What is the old hot rodder slogan, "If it don't go; chrome it"?
Terry: Didn't that slogan originally come from Stroker McGurk (sp) a cartoon character in Hot Rod magazines back in the 50's? Whatever: it is a classic.
I thought the slogan was "Chrome won't get you home"
Old navy motto "work it may, shine it must"
hi Bob here in Edmonton Albertacan you send pictures and info on the other cars in the background if they might be for sale. my # is 780 819 7404 thanks
Bob,Other cars are not for sale.
Van says it needs to go,anyone interested at $4500? That dash looks shiny black but it is completely chrome plated.
The problem I see it still needs 10 grade spent on it so you can have a car worth 10 to 12 when your done you have to do it just because you wanted to
Neat project. I love coupes.
Charles,I'm not sure what 10 grade is unless you mean 10 grand as in thousands. I don't see it,chassis's done, engine's done, bumpers chromed, new radiator, upholstery at least partly done. Tires look new. Some work on the body and paint it,floorboards, what else? Out here we have dust not rust. We had a '15 Cad for almost 25 years,I never waxed it,just hosed it off when it got dusty and wiped it down with old cloth baby diapers and it always looked great. What more would need to be done with the fenders, aprons, hood? This is never going to be a show car but in my opinion with a lot less than 10 grand it could be a going fun car with some special touches plus extra parts to sell or trade.Steve
