So, the guy getting ready to give the crank a pull manages to pull it, slips falling to the front of the car, but he forgot to retard the spark because he was so mad at stalling it in the creek so the engine backfires causing the crank to spin backwards, and the guy ends up with a broken neck instead of a broken arm.

Maybe he shoulda used rubber boots. :-)
