I recently acquired this postcard.
I think it is a Model S Ford roadster.
I was told it also might have had a roll up windshield.
Herb, Neat Horseless Carriage Era Photo!
Great detail.
Thanks

Wonderful Photo Herb!
Thanks for sharing

I believe the girl is Elsie Janis, the great early Broadway and vaudeville star. She was a singer and comedienne. And early automobilist.

I am surprised they got the Russel to sit that long!
She also appeared in auto-themed shows.
You guys never cease to amaze me.
Now I have a name to put on the card.
Herb,
Yes, assuming parts have not been swapped around, the first photo you posted is a 1908 Ford Model S Roadster. A few of them straggled behind and were sold in 1909 but 99% of them were in 1908.
Great photo.

Mark, maybe that harness on the J.R. has him lashed to the seat back. They are one dog that's wound tight aren't they? My Pitt Bull/mix would just love to ride in the open T's, but she too can't sit still, and heaven forbid her spotting a cat along the way! So her car is the Model A. She loves the huge back seat and those big rear side windows.
