I am working with the AACA Library to help them date and identify some of their unknown photos. Can you Model "T" experts date this Coupe? Has anyone ever heard of Vail's Garage?

22 was the last suicide door i think. do all the coupe rear windows go down like that? or is his window broke?

My neighbor's new (to him) '22 coupe has windows like that.

The '19 I am familiar with does not have rear windows that go down, so it must be later than '19.

This style coupe was made well into 1923 and those were sold as 1923 models, The new style coupe was introduced in 1923 and was also sold as a 1923 T. The rear windows do go down on the first series 1923 Coupes. I owned one for many years.

Larry's correct, it's a '22 or '23. I don't know of any way to distinguish between the two based upon what we can see in the picture.

A friend’s Jan 1923 Couple has a raised lip on the inside window molding for use when closing the door. My Oct 1922 Coupe has a pull handle on the inside door panel and no window molding lip. I don’t see the lip in this photo.

With the reflection in the front window has me wondering what or when they went to the two piece front window. My '22 Coupe has a split front window. The early '23 had suicide doors but the later '23's had front hinged doors. My guess would be '22 early '23 but the front window has me stumped.

Dennis -- The Coupes made in '23 which had front-hinged doors were '24 model year cars.

My guess is 1921. 1921 was the last year for the exposed wood around the windows and was the first year for the T type door handle.
The 1920 parts book list sash's for coupes from 1917 to 20 for that window. There were 3 different ones. 1917, 1918-19 and 20. That would tell me sometime in the past someone fixed the qtr window in place. Or the straps have been torn off. Lifters ether leather (1917) or whipcord (1918-1920) were listed for those years also.
