There are some features I had not noticed before,
The spare tires stored on the roof and the taillight mounted up high are two I did not know about.

LHD, it is a matter of perspective, These are the French designed ambulances that pre-dated the US Army ambulance design. Most of the ambulances carried the spares on the roof, even the M1918 did, but the M1917 had them on the off side.
These have canvas covering the sides with the winged tire insignia of the Women's Motor Corps of America. This photo was probably taken in New York.
